Velvet was a very promising kid in 2007, winning her dry leg as GCH Jr. doe and also Best Doe in Show. She has not failed to develop into a beautiful yearling. Velvet is a large, powerful doe that is uphill when standing as well as on the move. She has tremendous heart depth and width in the chest floor. She is deep bodied, with ideal spring of rib and a flat bone pattern. Velvet has very strong feet and legs and is very wide between the hocks. Velvet also has a winning personality, she is one of the most quiet and gentle does in our herd. We were unable to settle her breeding last season and so are anxiously anticipating her first freshening next spring. |

Chi-Chi, the only doe in a set of quints out of Charity in 2007, has come a long way from that tiny little girl she was at birth! Chi- Chi is a tall and structurally strong doe. She excels in Dairy Character, with a long lean neck and very stretchy dairy skin. She has wonderful depth of body and is wedge shaped. Chi-Chi is also strong in General Appearance, with a very level topline and pleasing rear leg angulation. Her dam, Charity is a very good producer and we expect the same from Chi-Chi.

Juliet is a most pleasing doeling. She has a captivating quality about her. Juliet is very strong in General Appearance. She is board level in the topline and rump, with a square stance that is open into the area of escutcheon. Her shoulder placement is ideal and we love her beautifully straight legs. She has a lovely feminine face, and enjoys a lot of attention (which she gets!). We look forward to watching her mature. |

Electra is an elegant and stylish young doe. She is smoothly blended and exhibits wonderful femininity and Dairy Character, while also being larger boned with excellent body capacity, even at her young age. She is large for her age, yet well-proportioned.
Electra has good breed character, with a lovely Roman nose and long bell-shaped ears. She has a sweet nature with an affectionate gaze. |

Journey is the only outside bred doe we added to the herd this year, but we feel she is a strong addition. She is a half sister to Galaxy and we appreciate several of the same qualities in them. Journey is large for her age and very growthy. She is an elegant and feminine doeling with a natural grace. Journey is very smoothly blended in the shoulders and rump with a beautiful topline. She has very flat dairy bone and wide ribbing with a deep barrel. We love her dairy skin and shapely, long neck. Her future is very bright here at Hedge Hollow. |

Gypsy is a long-legged beauty! She has that sparkle that we look for in a show prospect and the structure to back it up. One of triplet does this spring out of Thor and Shadow, a doe we no longer own, it was a last minute decision to keep her. Most days we're glad we did! She has a bit of a trouble maker personality, but at least she has very good looks to go with it!
Gypsy is up-standing and level over the topline into the rump and has excellent feet and legs. She tracks correctly and demonstrates good width in the hocks and a beautiful spotted coat. As she was a June baby, Gypsy will remain dry this year. |

Sweet Distraction, or "Baby"' as she is lovingly referred to, is a doe with strengths in Dairy Character and bone. She is a well-balanced doe with good General Appearance. She also has excellent Body Capacity for her age. As a very young kid, she captivated our hearts and was retained.
Baby is a second generation Hedge Hollow doe and we are very happy with her and her dam Halo, who earned her star designation from DHIR as a yearling milker. We feel Baby is over-all pleasing and want to give her time to blossom into her full potential.

Jasmine is a plucky girl, beautiful from the moment she was born, but stricken with a mysterious ailment that caused her to have seizures throughout most of her life. Only through a determined spirit could a doe go through what she has and still be such a lovely specimen. She seems to have grown out of her troubles for the most part, but her health is maintained by a close watch on her sugar and vitamin B levels. Structurally, she is very powerful and has tremendous body capacity with good dairy bone over-all.
Jasmine is wide in the chest floor and rump and has strong feet and legs. She has a lovely face and temperament to match. She is over-conditioned for now but we hope to see her slim down after freshening.
